How This Comparison Works
Search for a concrete repair contractor or a structural waterproofing specialist in the UK and the same names come up again and again. Most of them do some combination of the same three things: repairing damaged concrete, keeping water out of structures, and injecting resin to seal cracks and stop leaks. Where they differ is in where they work, the type and size of project they usually take on, and the extra services they run alongside the core trades.
The ten companies below were shortlisted because they overlap closely with MPS Concrete Solutions in concrete repair, structural waterproofing and resin injection. Each profile is a neutral summary of the company's services, geography and typical projects, based on public information on its own website, checked in October 2026. We have not rated or ranked them, and the order is not a ranking. For current details, follow the link to each company's official website.

How to Choose a Concrete Repair or Waterproofing Contractor
Every company on this page can be the right choice for the right project. The useful question is not "who is biggest?" but "who is set up for this defect, on this building, within this programme?" These are the questions we suggest asking any contractor, including us.
1. Do they diagnose before they price?
Spalling, cracking and water ingress each have more than one cause. A contractor who quotes from photos is guessing at the scope. Ask for a survey and a written method: what is causing the defect, what will be removed, what will be installed and to which standard (BS EN 1504 for repair, BS 8102 for below-ground waterproofing).
2. Do their own operatives carry out the specialist work?
Resin injection, leak sealing and membrane detailing depend on the person holding the gun. Ask whether the work is self-delivered or subcontracted, and what training the operatives hold. At MPS, our operatives hold NVQs in resin and grout injection.
3. Are the systems manufacturer-approved and guaranteed?
Repair mortars, injection resins and waterproofing membranes are only guaranteed when installed by an approved applicator to the manufacturer's specification. MPS is a Sika-approved contractor and works with manufacturer-backed systems.
4. Can they prove quality, safety and environmental management?
For commercial and public-sector work, look for third-party certification rather than statements. MPS holds UKAS-accredited ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and is a Constructionline Gold member.
5. Can they work around your building?
Most remedial work happens in occupied buildings, live car parks or operational sites. Ask how access, noise, dust, phasing and out-of-hours working will be handled, and how quickly they can mobilise for reactive or emergency repairs.
6. Is the price itemised?
An itemised quotation lets you compare like with like across contractors. Our concrete repair cost guide and waterproofing cost guide give indicative UK rates to benchmark against.
Getting several quotes? Send every contractor the same brief: the defect, its location and extent, photos, access constraints and your programme. You will get prices you can actually compare.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the main specialist concrete repair and waterproofing contractors in the UK?
Specialist UK contractors working across concrete repair, structural waterproofing and resin injection include MPS Concrete Solutions, Cemplas, Structural Renovations, BOSA Contracts, APA Concrete Repairs, Gunite Waterproofing, Vale CRW, Sealability, Beton Bauen, Churchill Specialist Contracting and Concrete Renovations. They differ mainly in geography, the project types they focus on, and secondary services such as cathodic protection, strengthening or rope access.
How do I choose a concrete repair or structural waterproofing contractor?
Start with the defect, not the contractor: spalling, cracking and water ingress need different methods. Then check that the contractor carries out that method with its own trained operatives, holds relevant accreditations such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and Constructionline, uses manufacturer-approved repair and waterproofing systems with guarantees, surveys before quoting, and can work around your access constraints and programme.
What is the difference between concrete repair and structural waterproofing?
Concrete repair reinstates damaged concrete: breaking out spalled or delaminated areas, treating corroded reinforcement and rebuilding the section to BS EN 1504. Structural waterproofing keeps water out of a structure, through membranes, cavity drain systems, injection hoses or resin injection of cracks and joints, to the grades set out in BS 8102. Many defects need both, which is why most specialists offer the two together. Our waterproofing and damp-proofing guide explains the options.
Does MPS Concrete Solutions work outside London?
Yes. MPS Concrete Solutions is based in Sandy, Bedfordshire, and works across London, the South East, the East of England, the Midlands and the rest of the UK on both planned and reactive remedial works.
